Suspirians are a three piece , noisy, intuitive, post punk rock band, formed in Austin in 2013 by songwriter Marisa Pool, often find themselves within psychedelic, dark-wave, and noise punk territories, but the group never falls deep into the one-genre abyss, instead tilting the sonic plane at unexpected moments. The group – consisting of singer/vocalist Pool, bassist Stephanie Demopulos, and drummer Lisa Cameron – released its self-titled debut LP on Austin-based label Super Secret Records in 2014; a follow-up on SS Records is planned for 2017.
